01 What you're actually choosing between
Every League of Legends companion here does the same core thing, Warden included. You lock in, and it puts the right runes, items and summoner spells in front of you without making you open a browser. That part is solved. It's been solved for years.
What differs is what each one wants back. One shows you ads. One puts the high-elo builds behind five dollars a month. Two install a second piece of software to run at all. That's the real comparison, so that's the one below.

Figures come from each app's own store page or site, checked August 2026, and cover the champ select job: getting the right runes, items and augments in before the loading screen. Overwolf-hosted installers pull the Overwolf platform down with them, so the listed size is the installer rather than the finished footprint.
03 What comes with each one
Blitz
The best known of the five, and the one that charges for the part you came for. Blitz imports runes and builds on lock-in and spans a stack of other games. The free version carries ads and the general-population builds. The Masters+ builds, the ones actually worth copying, live in Premium at $4.99 a month. Full breakdown in Warden vs Blitz.
Porofessor
The heaviest of the five. It reads the draft and scouts the lobby, and to get any of it you install the Overwolf platform alongside the app. The free tier carries ads, with Premium to switch them off. Its standalone build is listed at 100.8 MB, close to four times Warden. Compared in detail here.
Mobalytics
An analytics product with a build tool attached. The reports and rank tracking are what you're really installing, and champ select sits on top of them. Another Overwolf app, another ad-supported free tier with a Plus tier to remove them. Compared in detail here.
OP.GG
The website, in a window. It auto-sets runes and items and skips Overwolf, which is the one thing it and Warden agree on. What it doesn't skip is Electron: 84 MB of browser engine to draw a list of item icons, with ads in it. Compared in detail here.
Warden
Ours, and the only one here with nothing attached to it. It reads champ select from the League client, works out what the queue actually calls for, and imports the loadout in one click without touching rune pages you made yourself. Native Windows at 26 MB, no ads, no account, no subscription, and no build held back for people who pay. It's in open beta.
04 What to check before you pick
Feature lists all look the same at a glance. These are the questions that actually separate them once it's installed and you're in champ select with twenty seconds left.
- Is there an ad in the window? Four of the five here, in the free tier.
- Does installing it install something else? Two bring the Overwolf platform with them.
- Is the build you actually want behind a subscription? Blitz keeps its Masters+ builds in Premium at $4.99 a month.
- Does it want an account? Optional on four of them, and optional has a way of becoming expected.
- How big is it, and is it a browser wearing a costume? Electron builds run 84 MB and up.
- Does it know which queue you're in? A Rift page in ARAM or Arena is confidently wrong rather than useful.
Warden is the only one of the five that answers all six the way you'd want. No ad in the window. Nothing installed alongside it. Nothing held back for paying users. No account. 26 MB of native Windows. And yes, it reads the queue before it recommends anything.
The honest take
On the job all five advertise first, getting the right runes and items in before the loading screen, Warden is the one that does it without charging you, showing you an ad, or installing a platform to get there.
Everything else here wants something back for it. That's the reason we built Warden, and it's why we'd put it first.
