01 They're not really the same tool
People compare these two because they're the two everyone has heard of, but they're built around different things. Blitz is a multi-game auto-import tool that happens to do League. Porofessor is a League scouting tool that happens to do builds.
If you only ever use the rune import, you're picking between them on a feature they both treat as table stakes, and the real difference is what each one attaches to it.
02 What each one attaches
Blitz spans League, TFT, Valorant, CS2 and Apex from one install and runs standalone, so there's no platform to get through. The free tier carries ads and the general-population builds. The Masters+ builds, the ones actually worth copying, are inside Premium at $4.99 a month or $3.33 billed annually.
Porofessor is League only and goes deeper on the draft: lobby scouting, matchup flags, ban suggestions. Getting it means installing the Overwolf platform alongside the app, and the free tier carries ads with a Premium tier to switch them off. Its standalone build is listed at 100.8 MB. If running a second piece of software is the part you'd rather skip, we went through the League apps that don't use Overwolf separately.
So the trade is roughly: Blitz asks for a subscription to unlock the good builds, Porofessor asks you to run a second piece of software. Both ask you to look at ads in the meantime.

Figures come from each app's own store page or site, checked August 2026. Overwolf-hosted installers pull the Overwolf platform down with them, so the listed size is the installer rather than the finished footprint.
04 The option most comparisons skip
Almost everyone comparing these two wants the same thing out of them: the right runes and items in the client before the loading screen. That's one feature. Both apps bundle it with a lot of other software and then charge for it in one currency or another.
Warden is that one feature on its own, a free League of Legends companion app that does champ select and stops there. It reads champ select from the League client, works out what the queue actually calls for, and imports runes, items, summoner spells and augments in one click into pages it creates and names as its own. Nothing you made by hand gets touched.
It's 26 MB of native Windows, it's free with no premium tier, it shows no ads, it needs no account, and installing it installs one thing. On the job both of these apps advertise first, it's the cleanest of the three.
If you want the head-to-head instead of the three-way, there's Warden vs Blitz and Warden vs Porofessor, and if you're still surveying the field, the best League companion apps rundown covers the rest of them.
The honest take
Warden. Between Blitz and Porofessor you're really choosing which cost to carry: ads or $4.99 a month with one, the Overwolf platform installed alongside the other.
If what you actually open either of them for is the loadout, you're carrying a lot of app for one feature. Warden is that feature, free, at a fraction of the size, and it costs nothing to find out.
