The short answer
Warden offers optional League overlays on Windows. Enable the panels you want in Settings → Overlay and run League in Borderless or Windowed mode; Warden’s overlays pause in Fullscreen. Ctrl+Shift+O toggles visibility and Ctrl+Shift+I toggles click-through. The information available depends on the queue, local observations and your settings.
Set up an overlay you will actually use
- Install Warden and open League on the same Windows PC.
- In League’s video settings, choose Borderless or Windowed.
- Open Settings → Overlay in Warden. Enable only the panels you want.
- Use Ctrl + Shift + O to show or hide the overlay. Use Ctrl + Shift + I to change click-through.
- Check the layout in a suitable game before relying on it in your normal queue.
What the overlay can help with
On the Rift, available panels include core-item progress, inventory and gold comparisons, optional skill prompts and next-buy guidance. Coaching callouts have inspectable reasoning and optional voice. Arena and Mayhem have their own augment guidance rather than simply reusing Rift panels.
Observed events, estimates and missing data are different. A timer based on an event you marked is not evidence that an unseen camp has been cleared again. Choose information you can interpret without distracting yourself.
Overlay not showing? Start here
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| Nothing over the game | League is Borderless or Windowed, the overlay is enabled, and visibility is on |
| Overlay disappears in Fullscreen | This is the documented behavior; use Borderless or Windowed |
| Cannot interact with a panel | Check click-through with Ctrl+Shift+I |
| Some information is missing | Check queue support, available observations and evidence labels |
| Other companion overlays look different | Use that vendor’s own instructions; Warden’s shortcuts apply to Warden |
Overlay help is different from gameplay automation
Warden is an independent companion, not a Riot endorsement or a guarantee against account action. It does not play the game for you. Read the third-party app and Riot policy guide for the distinction between documented interfaces, memory access and approval claims.
If an overlay is distracting, hide it and use post-game review instead.
Common questions
Does the overlay work in exclusive Fullscreen?
Warden’s overlays pause in Fullscreen. Use Borderless or Windowed mode.
Can I use Warden without an overlay?
Yes. Overlays are optional. You can use build references, rune imports and local match review without enabling them.
Does every queue show the same panels?
No. Available panels depend on the game mode, data and enabled settings.
