DaisyDisk alternatives
DaisyDisk is good software. If you're looking past it, you probably want it cheaper, on different hardware, or open source. Those are three different problems with three different answers. Here are four options to consider, including the free ones.

DaisyDisk remains a $9.99 direct purchase with support for macOS 10.13 or later on Intel and Apple Silicon. Storefront prices can differ.
Start here if rectangular maps and an open-source license are the priorities. GrandPerspective offers filters, previews, saved scans, and export options. Its official site separates current system requirements from the older releases available for earlier macOS versions.

If you prefer names and size totals to a map, OmniDiskSweeper offers a direct way to browse large folders. Its current product page describes opening items or moving them to the Trash. The list is the main reason to choose it, rather than an expectation that every disk problem needs a visual chart.
Delve combines a treemap and sunburst, so you can switch from relative file sizes to folder depth. Quick Look helps identify files; the Collector gathers selected items for a reviewed move to the Trash. It requires a newer Mac setup than the other options here.

WizTree now has an official Mac edition. If you know the Windows tool, its lists, treemap, and export workflow may be familiar. Review the documented Mac differences and check whether your use requires a commercial license.

If you rely on direct cloud-account scanning, prefer the sunburst workflow, or need its supported older macOS versions, DaisyDisk remains a sensible choice. Try an alternative when it solves a specific problem with your current setup.
GrandPerspective is free from SourceForge and offers an open-source treemap. OmniDiskSweeper is a free option for a size-sorted list. WizTreeMac is free for personal use under its developer’s terms.

Check that workflow carefully before switching. Delve does not connect directly to cloud accounts. A locally synced folder is not a complete inventory of everything stored remotely.
