01 The short version
Warden is a League of Legends app that doesn't look at your match history at all. It reads champ select, works out what the queue calls for, and hands you a loadout. That's the product, and it's free.
Mobalytics is built around reading your own play: a performance score across your games, what to work on, how your rank is trending. The build features sit on top of that. It's an Overwolf app and the free tier carries ads, with a Plus tier that removes them. If you want the whole field rather than these two, the roundup of League companion apps covers all five.

Figures come from each app's own store page or site, checked August 2026, and cover the champ select job: getting the right runes, items and augments in before the loading screen. Overwolf-hosted installers pull the Overwolf platform down with them, so the listed size is the installer rather than the finished footprint.
03 What comes with Mobalytics
An analytics product with a build tool attached. The personalised reports and rank tracking are what you're really installing, and the champ select features sit on top of them.
It's an Overwolf app, so the platform comes too, and the free tier carries ads with a Plus tier to remove them. If what you wanted was the loadout and not the report card, that's a lot of software to carry for one feature. Warden runs on its own, and there's a longer look at League companions that skip Overwolf if that's the part you care about.
04 Where the builds come from
Every night we pull the current patch from Data Dragon and CommunityDragon and rebuild the recommendations from match data, rather than reprinting someone else's tier list. Win rates get ranked on a Wilson lower bound, which is a long way of saying a 58% win rate over 40 games doesn't get to outrank a 53% over twelve thousand. The small-sample noise stops floating to the top, which matters most on the champions nobody plays.
Mode changes the model, not just the item list. Rift builds are role-aware, so mid Ahri and support Ahri don't get handed the same page. ARAM weights sustain and poke, because you can't go back. Arena ranks augments alongside the build, because the augment is usually what decides the round.
Warden itself is a native Windows app, which is why it's 26 MB and opens instantly instead of starting a browser engine to draw a list of item icons.
The honest take
Mobalytics wants to grade your season. Warden wants your next thirty seconds to go well.
If what you actually open a companion for is the build, Warden gets you there with no ad, no login and nothing else running behind it, in 26 MB. For that job it's the better tool, and it's free.
